Weight training has been shown to reduce your risk of heart attack and stroke by 40-70 percent, and its benefits are comparable to cardio exercise.

Cardio

Cardio exercise is also an essential part of your exercise routine. Cardio is fantastic for your heart health. Yoga incorporates body weight movement and stretching, and targets the deeper muscles of the body. Yoga improves flexibility and aids in muscle tone and weight loss. However, yoga has also been shown to have significant mental health benefits as well. Yoga is a practice of mindfulness, and allows you to get out of your head and into the present moment. This helps to relieve stress, improve concentration, and helps you connect with your body. Yoga is a great coping mechanism to deal with bouts of mental health issues, and it is also wonderful for your physical health as well.
